Easily Transfer CallsMost call centers, including TeleRep, are able to take calls on behalf of their clients. This is done by having calls redirected through the local phone company. Specifically, a feature called 'call forwarding' is used. Call forwarding is a feature available through your local telco. It is commonly included in business phone service packages. Many have the feature available but aren't aware of it because they've never used it.. Call forwarding is generally controlled by the business directly. Occasionally, companies will opt to have their call center control their forwarding through an advanced feature called 'ultra-call-forwarding.'
How do I Forward our Calls? The majority of our clients forward one or more lines to our call center. For businesses that have not used call forwarding before, it may seem a bit confusing. We're sure you can master this phone feature in a minute or less.
Use the following instructions as you feel are appropriate:For Clients Who Use a Customized Auto Answer GreetingFirst, you do not need to wait for an operator. When you hear your greeting, that's your confirmation that you have reached the right place. Now, You can hang up and be confident that your calls are forwarded correctly. Are we sure? Feel free to go ahead and try it.
Press 72# and dial your forwarding number. Wait for your greeting, and then hang up. Confirm this by calling your office line and see where it rings.
For Clients Who Do not use a Greeting
The phone will give you a beep confirmation tone. The tone indicates you dialed the 72# with the same number twice and that you have successfully forwarded this line.
